Did you know Hedge End has a bustling weekly market in the middle of the village?

Every Wednesday, Scentnifique Wax Melts & Home Fragrances can be found here from 10am to 3pm on the old Budgen’s site – 1D Lower Northam Rd, Hedge End, Southampton SO30 4FN. The market is run by Eastleigh Borough Council who are also in attendance should anyone have any questions.

Of course we will have a vast array of wax melts with us, we usually have around 60 different scents per week, and rotate wax melt stock every time, to keep it interesting and varied for those who visit us on a weekly basis. We also have “stall exclusives “, products which can’t be found on our website, or on social media. We reserve these just for the stall. At present the exclusive’s include multiple wax melt scents, a tonne of awesome wax melt shapes, bath bombs and burners. Next week we will have our biggest selection of reed diffusers and carpet fresh we have ever displayed, and that will also include a few scents not available on our website!

In addition to wax melts, the other products we have on our stall includes; Reed Diffusers, Carpet Fresh, Bath Bombs, Foot Pummice Scrubs, Tea Light Wax Burners, Electric Wax Burners, Summer Scent Wax Melts ( Halloween Wax Melts/ Autumn Wax Melts available from mid-September) As well as our ever popular monthly boxes which contain a variation of wax melts, with a different theme every month. We have more new products to display soon too.  You can find more information about our products on our home page https://www.scentnifique.co.uk

Wednesday’s have fast become our favourite day of the week, not just because we get to see many of our lovely customers face-to-face, but also because it’s such a great feeling of community spirit to be part of something in the heart of the local community. All of the stall holders are unique, we don’t have more than one person selling the same thing, and the amount of stall holders is expanding week-on-week and we are almost full to capacity.

Working on your own can be lonely at times, and something that I think all small business owners can relate to, if not all the time, certainly for some of the time. On a Wednesday we are no longer lone workers, we are a team of smiling faces ready to great the local’s, and those who travel from further afield too, the traders aren’t just traders to me, they have become friends, and a  business support network too

Since Covid I have been wary regarding going into shops, but with the market I know that I can get everything I need for a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion (of course you can give wax melts as a gift too) and being able to support other small businesses is a wonderful feeling, the #shoplocal focus of lockdown is seemingly forgotten now.

So as well as wax melts, bath products, and home fragrances, what other products can I find at Hedge End Village Market, and who are the other Traders?
